Janes Kitchen is a family run business based in the beautiful
village of Broughshane, Ballymena Co. Antrim. The husband and wife
team David and Jane Allen, have been in the catering/hospitality
business for 21 years. David and Jane are "hands" on managers.
David's role is to set up and manage front of house, Jane's role
is to menu plan with the customer and manage production and
service of food and wine on the day of the function. Jane's
passion for food comes from being brought up on a farm where both
her mother and grandmother loved to cook and entertain. This
interest has been developed over the years and Jane, although
predominantly self taught has attended several cookery courses at
the Darina Allen cookery school, Ballymaloe, Co. Cork.
The company caters for all types of events:- Corporate
functions, Weddings, Christenings, Funeral Teas, family parties.
With Jane's farming background, she
understands how cattle and fowl should be treated to produce top
Jane's style of cooking is based on using the highest
quality of local produce. Jane is passionate about using good
quality Northern Ireland Beef, and has built up a first class
business relationship with her raw meat supplier. This in turn
helps to maintain consistency in the quality of beef received by
Jane's Kitchen. This said the same is true for all of our
suppliers, chicken, pork, dairy and fresh produce.
Jane's describes her cooking as "good quality, tasty food
served with a modern twist".
